2013

Founding a company based on the Ciber team

In the spring of 2013, employees of the Russian office of Ciber, the bulk of which were SAP consultants, almost completely left the company and founded their own - Novardis, also specializing in enterprise management systems based on SAP.

The Moscow office of the company is headed by Mark Reutenberg, who has led the Moscow office of Ciber since 2005.

As of the summer of 2013, Novardis said that it has more than 100 SAP consultants in such areas as financial and management accounting, production and logistics, warehouse and transportation management, customer relationship management and business analytics, web services and mobile applications. The team has more than 60 SAP projects and more than 500 person-years of experience in implementing SAP for Retail.

Since August 2013, Novardis is a partner of hybris in Russia (e-commerce).

Among the clients of the company were: "East-West," "Euroset," "LENTA," "Mareven Food Santral," "M.Video," "NOVEX," "Utensils Center," "Talosto," "Your House," "Eldorado" and others.

Conflict with Enter

The outcome of the SAP consulting team from the Russian office of Ciber and the foundation of their own company became known in July 2013 from Enter, where Ciber was a subcontractor in a large-scale implementation project for SAP CRM, SAP for Retail, SAP BI and SAP EWM. In addition to Ciber , Technoserv Consulting and TeamIdea were also partners in the project .

A joint Technoserv Consulting report from Enter on this matter states that after the Ciber consultants founded their own company, their company decided to continue interacting with a team of key knowledge holders on the project, for which Technoserv Consulting re-signed the contract with Novardis.

However, in June 2013, after the completion of the conceptual design phase, Novardis suddenly announced a significant shift in the timing of the project and subsequently stopped development and testing without notice of the termination of work, according to Enter.

Technoserv Consulting told TAdviser that according to the contract, Novardis had to perform partial setup of the finance module and setup of the logistics module of the SAP for Retail system, as well as partial setup of CRM, after which it was necessary to provide documentation for the system and conduct its testing.

"In fact, only the first point is incomplete - the setting of a small section of the system. However, even these works cannot be accepted, since documentation has not been provided, "say Technoserv Consulting.

In connection with the incident, Enter decided to change the subcontractor, and complaints were sent to Novardis. It is planned to hold a tender for the selection of a new subcontractor in the first decade of August 2013.

In an official commentary to the media on this matter, Novardis CEO Mark Reutenberg called the information set out in the Enter and Technoserv Consulting messages unreliable.

We can describe the current situation as the use of unscrupulous methods of doing business. said.
