Biography

2020: Arrest for a bribe

In December, 2020 Presnensky district court of Moscow arrested the manager of pathoanatomical department of city clinical hospital of S.P. Botkin Oksana Paklina within criminal case about taking of a bribe in especially large size.

According to Kommersant with reference to these investigations, Paklina, working from mercenary motives, gave orders to the subordinates to select and accumulate the biomaterials interesting the CEO of Central National Biobank (CNB) LLC Alexey Poddubny both the living, and died people for their subsequent sending to St. Petersburg without execution of the corresponding documentation.

By data from the website of TsNB, the company is engaged in biobanking — "creation of a collection of biological samples of the person" for different medical researches.

The Moscow Department of Healthcare told that department "does not connect detention of the employee and the claim of law enforcement agencies made to her with activity of hospital".

We interact with law enforcement agencies and are fully interested in establishment of the reasons of the event, – noted in Depzdrava.

The court elects a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest concerning Oksana Paklina suspected of commission of the crime provided by Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for up to February 7, 2021. Alexey Poddubny is also arrested. Bribery in a special large size is also imputed to him.

The manager of pathoanatomical department of GKB of S.P. Botkina Oksana Paklina is a doctor of medical sciences, wrote more than one hundred scientific works published in the Russian and foreign magazines. Under its management it is protected seven candidate and one doctor's theses. She is also the chief researcher of department of pathological anatomy of NMITs of surgery of A.V. Vishnevsky.^[1]
