2022: Opening of the IT Park
On November 9, 2022, the official opening of the first private IT park in the Tomsk Region took place. The Herzen project has combined a scientific and educational complex, an innovative sphere and high-tech production, 300 jobs have been created there, the press service of the regional administration reports.
By the time of opening, five residents are based in the IT Park building. Also in the building with an area of 6 thousand square meters, a laboratory of technological communication systems was equipped, which was launched by STK together with Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radio Electronics (TUSUR).
In his official Telegram channel, the head of the Tomsk region, Vladimir Mazur, identified four positive effects associated with the opening of the first private technological park:
- "Firstly, it is the first such park in the area. It was opened by ideological Tomsk guys at their own expense. They plan to develop information technologies in the field of communications. They already have hundreds of customers around the country ";
- the second positive point is due to the fact that a platform has appeared in Tomsk for people who burn IT developments, want to make them of high quality in order to enter new markets;
- thirdly, Herzen implements the concept of "university-developer-production." Thanks to this, graduates of Tomsk universities have prospects for development in their hometown, and enterprises have high-quality IT personnel;
- fourthly, "in the center of Tomsk, another building has gained a decent appearance and practical benefit."
At the opening, the governor studied the production of the Tomsk scientific and production company Mikran, which is located on the second floor of the IT park and the laboratory of technological communications systems. Inside there is a conference room with a capacity of more than 50 people, large and small meeting rooms, recreation areas and more.[1]
