2020: Providing virtual infrastructure
ActiveCloud provided to the international company Robolab virtual infrastructure for automation of work of training courses. It became known on December 15, 2020. Now pupils can be connected to a system without preliminary installation of programs on personal devices in a few minutes.
Project implementation allowed the company to accelerate development of an online format thanks to what it will be able to strengthen presence in foreign markets.
The Robolab company creates courses of robotics and programming for children aged from 6 up to 13 years. For December, 2020 the project integrates more than two thousand students from Russia, Belarus and the EU. Earlier about 95% of business of the company made offline projects: children studied in training centers at a fixed equipment. In the conditions of a pandemic of the company it was necessary to rebuild quickly a business model and to organize effective remote work.
Initially the customer made to us an inquiry for automation of work of a course of programming of Python in the game Minecraft. With transition to online it became obvious that just to begin training, the child together with parents should make too many steps (to install programs, to configure a sound, the image, to connect the server to a game and so on) that in itself creates difficulties. Besides, not all pupils of the house have computers, notebooks which there would be enough performance for work of all applications, necessary for training, - the architect of solutions of ActiveCloud company Alexander Prusenok tells. |
In terms of financial costs and the speed of implementation solution deployment of century became optimal ActiveCloud cloud. All necessary SOFTWARE is located at virtual capacities, pupils for work need only one link, had opened which they get access to a game through API. The teacher at the same time acquires the rights of the administrator and can help children in case of difficulties. In development of the project the customer expanded a pool of the educational programs postponed in cloud: for December, 2020 on the virtual server in addition to Minecraft rate also training Unity programs are placed Scratch Microsoft Visual Studio.
Now for training in the child it is enough to have the personal computer and a connectivity to the Internet that considerably simplifies educational process. The centralized placement of software in a cloud allows to provide uniformity of software used by all pupils and in one step to set necessary updates by teachers. Besides, the Robolab company can flexibly manage capacities, increasing them with business growth, at the same time the team of technical specialists of ActiveCloud is engaged in tasks of administration of servers, - Alexander Prusenok adds. |
Development of a remote format is growth point for our company. In offline the company practically reached a ceiling – we have more than two thousand pupils, and we are limited the number of offices and the territory of their arrangement. Online we can expand the presence in all Russian-language market, without resorting to large time and finance costs. We quickly realized that it is impossible to develop a remote format without automation of process of connection to a game: if the first occupation does not take place smoothly, the pupil can lose interest that for us was extremely undesirable. It was necessary to simplify to children a task. It became quickly clear that connection to the service offered ActiveCloud is for us an optimal variant of the solution of a task. I will note that for correct work of Minecraft the video card which requires rather high performance of the equipment is necessary. Lease of the place on such server costs very much, in ActiveCloud could solve also this problem, - Alexey Poroshin, the deputy manager on development and the Robolab online direction summarizes. |
