In the State Hermitage the new navigation system for visitors started working

The State Hermitage started the navigation system for visitors – in the Main museum complex for December, 2020 five interactive navigation booths already work. They are set at the Jordanian and Church ladders where the visit to the Hermitage for most of visitors and also in points intersections on the way on museum halls begins. On December 22, 2020 the Croc company reported about it.

Booths will help to be guided with the existing routes, to find a short way to the interesting hall or an exhibit, to move on the museum without violation of the scheme of the movement and to lay a way to the necessary infrastructure facilities of the museum (cafe, toilets, elevators and so forth). The navigation booth will also allow to find the answer to the most often asked question – "How to Pass to an Exit?"

Each visitor can receive an individual route on the museum, having selected the interesting its topic or proceeding from time which he has. It is very relevant in the existing conditions of tough routing of the movement on the museum. For convenience of visitors an opportunity to download the turned-out route on the mobile phone is provided.

In booths it is possible to find also other useful information, for example, about collection masterpieces, about events and exhibitions in the museum. Using the built-in camera visited will be able to take the picture for the memory of a visit to the museum and to send it to itself to e-mail. In booths there is also an opportunity to leave a comment about the museum in shape for a feedback.

This navigation system is integrated with the official site of the State Hermitage thanks to what the most up-to-date information is displayed automatically. That possibilities of navigation were available to the greatest number of visitors of the Hermitage, the Your Electronic Guide system works at the Russian and English languages.

The interactive project "Your Electronic Guide" is implemented within long-term cooperation of the Hermitage and CROC IT company together with Initsium and LG.

The Hermitage used one more tool to the system of navigation of visitors. At us on the website guides to all routes are published, there is a virtual visit, in the museum audioguides are offered visitors. And now there were automatically updated engineering devices – interactive navigation booths to which it is also possible to add additional programs further, – Alexey Bogdanov, the deputy CEO of the State Hermitage commented on a project startup.
