2020: Announcement of Wizard Easy Programming - Software for implementation of industrial robots without knowledge of programming

At the end of December, 2020 ABB released software for implementation of industrial robots which simplifies installation, programming and exploitation of robots and does not require special personnel training.

The software of Wizard Easy Programming for the industrial IRB 1100 robot allows users, for the first time facing robotics, to implement automation in the production lines needlessly in special skills of programming or knowledge of the RAPID code.

ABB submitted the software for implementation of industrial robots without knowledge of programming

Based on simple graphic blocks, Wizard Easy Programming allows nonspecialists to automate the applications easily. Blocks reflect such actions as "movement of the pre-determined location", "an object raising" and "repetition of movements" that allows to construct easily and intuitively a number of simple algorithms which the robot should execute. Also software includes the functions for work with errors allowing the beginning programmers to eliminate widespread errors of the code.

Using the software of Wizard Easy Programming of the robot it is possible to start in read minutes. Process of programming comes down to simple drag and drop of the necessary block on ABB FlexPendant, at the same time the user can see results at once and if necessary change operations of the robot. Connecting the necessary blocks together, it is possible to create complete programs for such applications as service of machines or assembly, without any knowledge of programming languages.

ABB Wizard Easy Programming well free of charge can be also set as a software superstructure. Besides, developers intend to load previously it on all new IRB 1100 robots. In future Wizard Easy Programming it will become available also on other industrial robots of ABB.[1]
