Universal Logistics Services (Axelot WMS X5)

In 2019 the company management made the decision on opening of the new business direction - provision of services of the fulfillment. It is natural that rendering similar services is impossible without use of the international level by industrial WMS. Among a set of the solutions presented at the market the AXELOT WMS X5 system was selected, and specialists of AXELOT were engaged in implementation.

The new distribution center where implementation of WMS was performed, is located in Almaty. The area of a warehouse is 3500 sq.m., the main types of storage goods – household chemicals and also clothes and footwear. In a warehouse frontal racks are used, the mezzanine functions and also floor storage of products is performed.

The project task – to prepare a warehouse for the new business processes characteristic of the fulfillment-center: acceptance as packages, and according to the nomenclature, sorting and automatic placement to the storage area and also selection and shipment. All transactions are executed using Zebra MC33 data collection terminals, and fixed in the billing module. AXELOT WMS X5 in the automatic mode creates reports on billing for the period that allows to lower significantly load of department of customer service.

Despite conditions of a pandemic and the existing restrictions the project managed to be implemented completely in the remote mode, including remote start of a system and remote training of employees of a warehouse.

Thanks to implementation of AXELOT WMS X5 the Universal LOGISTICS LLP company had a possibility of calculation of cost of the rendered services, and all works are conducted strictly according to requirements of bailors. 5 stationary and 13 mobile jobs are automated. Automation allowed to reduce dependence on a human factor, and the company management had an opportunity to trace up-to-date information about work of a warehouse in real time.

The following project in the development strategy of the company is automation of "the last mile" using AXELOT TMS X4 for the purpose of increase in level of customer service and the list of the provided services.
