Ekoniva (Axelot WMS X5)

The livestock EkonivaHSC enterprises "-" are engaged in breeding work on cultivation of the cattle of simmentalsky, brown shvitsky, golshtinsky black and motley color, red and motley, gerefordsky breeds. Also the company successfully works at the market of seeds Russia and is one of the largest producers of seeds of field cultures. In crop production the emphasis on production of forages for needs of livestock production is placed. Besides, agricultural enterprises cultivate grain, leguminous, commercial crops. Due to the expansion and active development of priority activities the management of Ekoniva-agrarian and industrial complex created in holding division new separately which tasks include purchase and internal supply of the enterprises of holding with veterinary medicines. For needs of new division it was going to start in work a new warehouse which needed to be automated.

The WMS system had to correspond to the growing business needs, to be productive and, one of key requirements, - to have a possibility of the subsequent parametrical setup and development of functionality by the administrator, without or with the minimum involvement of IT specialists. Having analyzed the solutions on a number of indicators presented at the market, the management of Ekoniva-agrarian and industrial complex stopped the choice on the AXELOT WMS X5 system for which implementation specialists of developer company – AXELOT were invited.

The new warehouse is located in Domodedovo, its area is 3500 sq.m., active descriptions of goods about 3000 units. In a warehouse frontal racks are used, floor storage is performed, there are also refrigeration chambers for some types of veterinary medicines. From a project team it was required to implement the maximum automation of all key processes of a warehouse taking into account specifics of the stored products. It should be noted the fact that at the time of the beginning of the project the warehouse did not work yet therefore specialists of project teams on both sides conducted close work on study of all future business processes of a warehouse that allowed to implement the project without uniform completion. In a warehouse acceptance and placement of medicines in zones according to required temperature conditions of storage is implemented. Selection is performed by pieces, boxes, the whole pallets, replenishment of zones of boxed and piece selection is implemented. Implementation of functionality of planning of orders taking into account residual expiration dates on partners, groups of goods and the principle of FEFO became feature.

In spite of the fact that the implemented functionality is represented rather standard, this project was important for Ekoniva-agrarian and industrial complex agroholding strategically. During operation over the project on automation of a warehouse the corporate system of holding also underwent a number of changes in a part of approaches to process management of purchases, supply and supply chain management in general. The nomenclature was reviewed and normalized that allowed to eliminate duplication of cards of products. The AXELOT WMS X5 system was integrated with a system "1C: Management of the agricultural enterprise" by means of the service data bus DATAREON ESB.

Certain difficulties in implementation process were added by start of a warehouse to work in the period of a pandemic and the restrictions caused by it. Nevertheless, all goals set for the project were achieved. The management of Ekoniva-agrarian and industrial complex received the modern automated warehouse executing tasks of timely and operational supply of the enterprises with veterinary medicines, crucial for all agroholding, within the division.
