2021: Announcement of the JetBot 90 AI robot vacuum cleaner +
Within the exhibition of CES 2021 electronics in January Samsung provided as the company claims South Korean, the robot vacuum cleaner, the first in the market, with the chip of Intel. Innovation received the name Jetbot 90 AI+.
She is intended for intellectual house cleaning and also can monitor pets and play with them. The robot is equipped with the system of recognition of objects which allows to avoid obstacles.
Artificial intelligence technologies of Intel company allow JetBot 90 AI + to build the three-dimensional map of the premises. After cleaning the robovacuum cleaner independently loads garbage into a special bag on a charging station (Samsung Clean Station).
The device received the lidar similar to that it is used in unmanned vehicles. It defines distance and keeps track of location of the device for exact movements. 3D - the sensor will recognize a difference between such objects as a toy and a leg of a chair, detects even small objects on a floor and defines a room design to consider it at maneuvers. The intellectual algorithm allows the vacuum cleaner to identify objects of all types and to make the card of the safest and effective movements. Then JetBot 90 AI + uses this information for cleaning near objects on a floor, keeping at the same time at safe distance from delicate and fragile things, and, if necessary, getting under furniture. If the vacuum cleaner classifies an object as potentially dangerous or capable to lead to pollution, the device just will go round it.
At connection to the smartphone through the Samsung SmartThings application the robot vacuum cleaner transfers control to the user, allowing to plan cleaning, to set prohibited zones on the card and even to be connected to the camera to monitor the house and pets.
During the announcement of JetBot 90 AI + terms of the beginning of sales of a product were not called.[1]
