2020: Improving Application Speed and Reliability
On January 15, 2021, Nutanix announced that Riquest Group expanded the application of the company's solutions in its data center. Corporate IT systems and services of Riquest Group operate on the Nutanix hyperconvergent (HCI) platform, as a result of which the performance and reliability of their work has increased, and the monitoring and management of the entire computing infrastructure has been simplified.
Riquest Group of Companies is a supplier of b2b-services for cleaning, washing and dry cleaning throughout Russia. Its clients as of January 2021 are more than 2000 companies and budget organizations. To service them, Riquest Group manages a distributed network of 32 service and logistics centers and 19 industrial laundry complexes. The company uses Nutanix solutions in the corporate data center. It serves central and regional offices, production sites, as well as remote jobs of employees in 30 cities of Russia.
The transition to the Nutanix hyperconvergent infrastructure took place in three stages. First, testing confirmed the high performance of Nutanix HCI for real loads. Then, Nutanix appliances in the 2x2U form factor replaced the 12x2U servers of another manufacturer from which 1C applications and MS SQL databases were migrated. A year later, Riquest took advantage of the platform in the form of a fast scaling opportunity and expanded the Nutanix cluster to 8 nodes, increasing computing capabilities, disk space and the safety margin of the enterprise data center. Testing, consulting, delivery, deployment and solution support were provided by KPBS, a Nutanix partner with Cloud Champion status.
All key corporate applications and information services of Riquest Group operate on the Nutanix platform. According to the results of the implementation, their productivity increased by 35-40%. Fault tolerance has increased: even if several cluster nodes fail at once, systems will not interrupt, and users will not notice a failure. Simplified data center administration with intelligent software that combines monitoring and management of hardware, virtualization, data network, and storage.
