The Danish startup of Peakon founded in 2015 is a developer of the platform for collecting of responses of employees which afterwards the management can transform to the ideas focused on improvement of the working atmosphere and the involvement of employees. The Peakon command is convinced that work should work for people, and not vice versa.

History

2021: Workday purchased Peakon for $700 million

At the end of January, 2021 Workday announced acquisition of the Danish startup of Peakon which is engaged in development of a cloud service for collecting of responses of employees. The transaction is estimated at $700 million, Workday is going to close the deal by the end of April, 2021.

The cloud service of Peakon allows the organizations to measure moods of employees and to collect responses, sending polls. For the companies with the personnel involved in work in the different countries of the world there are functions of artificial intelligence which are built in service, thanks to them the platform can translate questionnaires into more than 50 languages. Other set of the AI models automatically takes key information from answers of employees to help managers to analyze at once survey results.

Workday purchased Peakon for $700 million

Peakon noted that the companies are interested in the platform of a startup to define methods of improvement of enrollment, adaptation and other personnel management processes. One more option of use at which the startup is aimed is the help to heads assembled of responses from employees in divisions which they head. According to Peakon, as of January, 2021 the platform processed more than 150 million answers to questionnaires for more than 1000 companies, including such known as Verizon Communications and Capgemini.
