2021: Workday bought VNDLY for $510 million
In mid-November 2021, Workday announced the acquisition of contractor management platform developer VNDLY. The transaction is estimated at $510 million.
Prior to the deal, VNDLY already had a certified integration with Workday Financial Management and Workday Human Capital Management. The deal with VNLY will allow Workday to combine tools for managing hired, hourly, temporary workers, in particular, both companies will have a single accounting system to manage the entire workforce of customers, and will also be able to optimize the costs and composition of employees.
In the long term, Workday's collaboration with VNDLY involves the creation of a system to ensure a continuous process of receiving and processing applications, performance reports, adaptation, billing and payroll.
Workday said it will invest in a network of VNDLY managed service providers and support integration with third parties.
The innovative and intuitive approach of VNDLY allows the company to maintain a leading position in the human resource management solution provider industry. A powerful combination of our technologies and talents will help customers better manage the dynamics of their workforce, as well as allow them to keep up with the changing world of work today, "said Pete Schlamp, Director of Strategy at Workday. |
Combining VNDLY capabilities into Workday will provide customer companies with tools to manage staff and engagement across the same interface. This should spare HR personnel the need to constantly switch between different tools depending on the employees they deal with.[1]
