2021: Plans of a sostaniye of pLTE network

Rostelecom announced on February 1, 2021 plans to build private network of the LTE standard (pLTE) in the territory of the Srednevilyuysky gas-condensate field in the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic. The project is implemented by request of the Yakut fuel and energy company (PJSC YaTEK). The pLTE network will provide to YaTEK reliable service of data taking into account requirements of information security and will become a basis for implementation of digital technologies in the industry.

In the territory of the field Rostelecom will construct and will put five base stations and central node of pLTE into operation. The used frequency ranges of base stations 800 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2600 MHz guarantee high data transfer rate and wide radius of a covering.

Use of a wireless network of pLTE will provide flexible communication between employees, duplex telephony with subscribers of an automatic telephone exchange held for use in the company.

Start of pLTE network will allow to implement the digital solutions based on telemetry on production of YaTEK. With their help the staff of the company will be able to control far off work of wells and the system of pipeline transport. Besides, a number of services will be aimed at security of employees and production. Implementation of digital services in the industry is another step on the way to digital economy, – the branch director noted SakhaTelecom of PJSC Rostelecom Konstantin Voytekhovsky.

The telemetry of "The smart well" will be implemented using NB-IoT technology. Service will allow the staff of the company to manage production facilities at distance. For example, to read out data on pressure and temperature on the wells with natural pressure which are not equipped with power supply. At the same time the sensor will work in the energy saving mode on the built-in battery not less than three years.

The manager of the enterprise will be able to define location of the worker by the hardware and software system "Smart Helmet", to control his position in space, information on serious blows to a helmet and to create optimal tracks for inspectors. In addition together with a production helmet the tracker performing ultraprecise positioning of the worker will be issued to the staff of YaTEK. In case of incident the device will automatically transfer the last coordinates of the employee and will send an alarm to a supervisory console, having in parallel activated an ad hoc network for search.
