2021: Delivery of software for training of generation of transport engineers

The SIMETRA company, competence center in the field of modeling of traffic flows and transport planning, announced on February 1, 2021 equipment of the Highest Schools of Economy (HSE) the academic versions of the software package PTV Traffic Suite on hundred jobs.

The software will be used in educational process for training of generation of the Russian transport engineers at the Higher school of urbanistics of A.A. Vysokovsky – division of the HSE.

Transport infrastructure is impossible without training of professional staff. The younger generation of transport engineers should implement ambitious and large-scale projects therefore the literacy in use of technologies is necessary. For this purpose students will work skills working in the software from PTV — Mikhail Blinkin, the Research supervisor of Faculty of city and regional development of NIU "Higher School of Economics" told.

The license grants the right to use in the educational purposes the PTV Visum software products on 200 areas and PTV Vissim on 10 objects.

We cooperate many years with the HSE both in projects, and in study: specialists of SIMETRA read at faculty of city and regional development a training course "Transport modeling" for undergraduates. Now the rate will be complemented with the tool from the producer for studying not only the theory, but also practical aspects of modeling of traffic and pedestrian flows — Andrey Prokhorov, the director of the Moscow branch of SIMETRA company told.
