Biography
Alexander Lvovich Chechin was born on January 16, 1963 in Maykop.
Education
In 1985 graduated from the Stavropol highest military engineering college of communication. Has a military rank "lieutenant colonel".
Career
From 1998 to 2001 – service in the Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief of the Russian Federation at engineering and command positions.
From 2001 to 2019 worked in the field of communication, information security, information technologies and system integration.
Since January, 2019 was the head of department on supervision in the field of information technologies of Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media.
Chechin was appointed to the position of the deputy head of Roskomnadzor in September, 2019.
2021: Dismissal of the deputy head of Roskomnadzor
The deputy manager of Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media Alexander Chechin is relieved by the order of the government of the post at his request. It became known on February 2, 2021.
He supervised execution of powers in information technology field.
In December, 2020 there was a government decree which reduced the number of deputy managers of Roskomnadzor from five to four. Reduction is connected with reform of a state machinery[1].
