2021: Announcement of the Tiger X1 robot courier
At the beginning of February, 2021 Hyundai provided the intelligent land Tiger X1 transforming robot. He is intended for cargo transfer on the difficult area.
The independent Tiger X-1 robot supplier uses for movement four wheels or built in the legs body. Tiger X-1 is developed by Hyundai Motor Group New Horizons Studio company with the headquarters to Mountain View (State of California). Tiger X1 will become a part of a line of Ultimate Mobility Vehicle (UMV).
Tiger X1 is founded on modular architecture (the body can be changed, without touching the chassis) and represents easy, but very rugged construction using 3D - printing and composite materials, including carbon fiber. The robot supports control of management of movement of 360 degrees and also Tiger X1 is equipped a number of sensors for remote observation. The robot also supports connection to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) which can load and deliver completely the robot in hard-to-reach spots.
The capacious cargo compartment located in the body allows the robot to perform transportation of loads. Existence of a system for driving and walking allows the device to cope with a number of extreme situations. When using wheels Tiger X1 moves as the all-wheel drive car and is in the most economy mode. But when the vehicle gets stuck or it needs to pass on the area which is difficult or impassable for wheels alone, a system uses the mechanism for walking.
Innovation is going to be used for search and rescue services, scientific expeditions and also cargo delivery to areas with a difficult relief. Tiger X1 can perform the normal product delivery and drugs. The robot can be managed as far off, and about use of autonomous systems.[1]
