For the first time in Russia at the plants began to implement completely digital electric power fiscal metering system

On February 12, 2021 it became known that for the first time in Russia at the enterprises began to implement completely digital fiscal metering system of the electric power. It is about the technology developed by Profotec company and started on Krasnoyarsk Aluminium Smelter.

As reported on the website of the Technopolice Moscow special economic zone (Profotec is its resident), the automated information measuring system of commercial electricity metering constructed based on optical measuring transformers allows to control use of energy resources continuously.

According to developers, transition from the analog systems to digital will reduce an error of measurements and will provide essential economic effect. Besides, according to predesigns, a digital system will help the company to save every year about 30 million rubles due to more precise measurements and decrease in loss of the electric power.

In a case with the project implemented on Krasnoyarsk Aluminium Smelter it is completely executed by Profotec company – beginning from its development, production and delivery of digital optical transformers, finishing with installation and adjustment of all complex of technical means.

The company did large-scale work on reorganization of runs on substation of Krasnoyarsk Aluminium Smelter of six lines with tension of 220 kV. Together with partners adaptation of digital counters of the electric power for their joint work with optical transformers is executed — the head of Profotec Oleg Rudakov told.

According to him, the new fiscal metering system completely passed all tests and received the act of compliance.

By February 12, 2021 Profotec is the only producer of optical measuring transformers in Russia.^[1]
