February 17, 2021 it became known about the launch of the second data center "Utkonos." This project was commissioned by the online hypermarket company "Jet Infosystems" using Huawei server solutions.

The new data center was built on the basis of the Utkonos fullfilment center in the Yuzhnoye Butovo district in Moscow. This facility, according to Anton Tarabrin, head of the Utkonos Online infrastructure support and development department, was needed to maintain and reliably operate sites in the retailer's main region and support regional expansion.

Utkonos launched the second data center

The Utkonos data center in South Butovo includes 19 server racks and switching equipment. There are 32 telecommunication cabinets with an IP54 level of protection against dust and moisture. The equipment in them is provided with uninterrupted power supply according to the 2N redundancy scheme. The allocated power for computing equipment is 300 kVa. By the time the data center is started, its load is 30% (~ 90 kVa) of the design capacity.

The Jet Infosystems company connected additional nodes on the floors of the warehouse complex to a single network, into which peripheral sites in remote buildings were also integrated. Secure access points allow you to create a backbone network for connecting client systems and further automating the warehouse activities of Utkonos.

The data center has deployed a virtualization environment. It is noted that the project was implemented taking into account the energy efficiency reserve, so Utkonos, if necessary, will be able to transfer other IT systems to the created site. How much the company cost the construction of a new data center is not reported.^[1]
