2021: Supply of equipment for the production of flexible solar panels
Equipment for the production of flexible solar panels was delivered to the Nanocenter of Mordovia. This was reported by Rusnano on February 17, 2021.
The construction by Solartek of a plant of flexible solar cells for the production of electricity comes to the next stage - the installation of equipment. The key installation of the Midsummer production line was delivered to Saransk at the site at the Center for Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials of the Republic of Mordovia investment network of the Infrastructure and Educational Programs Fund (FIOP) of the Rusnano Group.
Solartek from the TechnoSpark Group, Nanocenter Mordovia and the Swedish company Midsummer agreed at the end of 2019 to localize the production of thin-film photovoltaic in Russia. Products will enter the Russian market under the brand name SteelSun. The production of flexible solar panels will use one of the two most common technologies in the world - CIGS (based on gallium-indium-copper diselenide). Solar cells are designed for integration into roofing materials and facades of buildings. The design capacity of production will be 10 MW per year. The launch of the first stage of production is scheduled for the end of 2021.
