2021: Contract for the production of set-top boxes

GS Group Holding on March 2, 2021 announced the conclusion of a contract with Technological Systems and Service for the production of set-top boxes. The devices are designed to work in the network of one of the telecommunications companies in Russia. For the customer, this is the first experience of transferring the production of set-top boxes from China to the Russian Federation.

Set-top boxes are manufactured at the enterprise of NPO Digital Television Systems (as part of the innovative cluster of the full cycle Technopolice GS, Gusev, Kaliningrad Region). NPO "CTS" has many years of experience in the production of terrestrial, satellite and IP consoles, as well as hybrid models.

Russian companies have developed competencies in the production of the most complex devices, which in terms of technical and operational characteristics often exceed analogues from Southeast Asian countries. The competencies and capacities of the enterprises of the innovative cluster " Technopolice GS" allow us to provide a full range of services for the development and large-scale production of electronics of any complexity - from the packaging of integrated circuits to the packaging of finished products. It was important for us to maintain the quality of products compared to those produced in one of the factories of the PRC and, preferably, without increasing the total costs. At CTS, we met with great interest in the project and qualified personnel, who, together with our specialists, quickly sorted out the design documentation, organized the production of a trial batch and preparation for mass production. An additional convenience for us was the possibility of producing cases and packaging directly on the territory of Technopolice GS. The production of "CTS" is highly automated and productive, focused on mass production of products. As of March 2021, the company operates 5 automatic surface installation lines with a total capacity of more than 1 million components per hour. In addition, the company employs 6 lines of manual installation of pin components, as well as 6 conveyor lines of final assembly.
