2021: Implement Commvault Complete Data Protection

March 4, 2021 Commvault, a manufacturer of data management software in the clouds and within the corporate IT infrastructure, reported on the implemented solution and its experience in CBHS Health.

It is important for CBHS Health to ensure high availability of data and minimal disruptions in system failures or emergencies. CBHS previously used five different products for backup, including standard Microsoft utilities, Altaro VM and GoodSync, so there was no centralized control over all backup operations and it took a lot of time to administer backpacks. The IT department of the company was faced with the problem of lack of detailed information about data and lack of temporary resources.

In addition, it was necessary to create protection for a solid set of IT resources: Microsoft 365, virtual machines Microsoft Azure and instansa SQL, and Microsoft Exchange Online OneDrive SharePoint Online, Salesforce Cloud virtual machines Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Active Directory File storage SMB, 90 virtual, servers 330. databases Microsoft SQL

The solution was the implementation of Commvault Complete Data Protection for Consolidating all backups performed internally Enterprise IT and Cloud. Commvault Professional Services helped CBHS Health move to a single Commvault platform during the COVID-19 pandemic. Business continuity was achieved through a single backup and disaster recovery management solution with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and Salesforce Cloud. As a result, capacity decreased by 40%, used to store backups.

83% faster reports are prepared for the company management. The environment that used to be checked every day is now checked once a week. Data control has been significantly improved and it is possible to predict the growth of data used on different platforms.

{{quote 'We considered solutions from different vendors, including Rubrik, Veeam and Dell, but in the end we decided that the Commercial solution would be the best for us, since it offers a single console for managing all operations and is capable of backing up Microsoft 365 and Salesforce Cloud data without using products from other companies, "explains Arren Pasa, head of ALT Health. "Once we had an emergency and had to shut down all the systems in two hours and restart them on another site before we were flooded," says Pasa. - With the built-in high availability features of Commvault Complete Data Protection, we were able to quickly recover data from different platforms and ensure continuity business.}}

After the implementation of Commvault, using deduplication, the capacity that CBHS spends on backup storage was reduced by 40%. Replacing multiple backup solutions with one reduced the workload on backup-related computing resources and allowed faster processing of tasks on servers databases.

Commvault Professional Services began working with CBHS on the very day that Australia lockdown began due to. COVID-19 During the implementation, CBHS employees interacted with the Commvault team through teleconferences.

Commvault Professional Services worked great in the implementation process. I just gave them the initial information and they did all the rest of the work themselves. The entire transition to Commvault was completed when we worked from home, "said Arren Pasa.

CBHS is also very pleased with Commvault's profitable licensing model, which saves budget to implement a cloud transition strategy.
