2021: Auction for the supply of postmats for the Moscow metro
On March 11, 2021, an auction begins for the supply of postmats (automated terminals for receiving and issuing parcels) for the Moscow metro. The Department of Transport and the Development of Road Transport Infrastructure of the city announced this in its Telegram channel.
We will be glad if different representatives of the market participate in it. All applications from participants are impersonal: if someone indicates information about the company, then he is not allowed to participate in the auction, the agency said. |
It is noted that the placement of post offices in the metropolitan metro will become not only a new service for passengers, but also a way to increase non-summer incomes, they will go to the development of the metro.
In Moscow, Deptrans added that there are post offices in many metro stations in the world, for example, in London, Tokyo, Barcelona, Beijing, Seoul.
Russian Post won an auction for the installation of post offices in the Moscow metro. In total, it is planned to install about 90 posts in the crossings of metro stations. According to the public procurement portal, Russian Post will send up to 42.5 million rubles for the installation of devices. The supplier of postal stations will be the company "Omnik," indicate in the "Post of Russia."
It is assumed that pochtomates will be popular both at stations in the city center and on the outskirts, since it is convenient for people if the pochtomates are closer to home, that is, in sleeping areas.[1]
2014: Installation of the first post office in the Moscow metro
Earlier, the Moscow Metro had already conducted experiments with the installation of equipment for the delivery of parcels. So, in 2014, such an apparatus was placed in a trading gallery at the Novokosino station. It was planned that such terminals will be launched at dozens of stations.
In the capital's subway, virtual stores with e-books, movie tickets, etc. were launched. Those goods that were not associated with downloading to a mobile device could be picked up in mailboxes at stations. The project did not receive mass distribution, despite the plans of the authorities, and was soon closed.
