MT Consortium (Medical Technology Consortium)
The purpose of the Consortium is to create conditions for ensuring scientific and technological development, medical industries the introduction of technologies for the development, production and use of intended purposes, medical devices including high-tech and innovative, the training of specialized medical and engineering personnel, as well as experts with narrow-profile competencies in species groups of medical devices.
2022: Attracting 5 billion rubles for import substitution projects
In early July 2022, it became known that the Medical Technology consortium raised 5 billion rubles for import substitution projects. The corresponding agreement was signed with Novikombank.
According to the press service of the credit institution, its funds will be used to import substitution of high-tech medical equipment and medical devices. In addition to providing credit products and supporting settlements, the bank will provide services to attract subsidies, as well as targeted loans, guarantees and other state support tools.
The most important priority for Novikombank was and remains projects aimed at import substitution. In the current socio-economic situation, support for medical industry enterprises is of particular importance. To minimize the risks associated with the supply of equipment, it is necessary to provide domestic manufacturers with the most affordable financing, - said Elena Georgieva, chairman of the board of Novikombank, curator of the Voronezh branch of SoyuzMash of Russia. |
The Medical Technology Consortium, created in 2020 with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, by July 2022 brings together manufacturers of medical equipment and industry associations that form and promote comprehensive solutions in the field of import substitution, including the Association of Developers, Manufacturers and Users of Medical Equipment (MAMT), Rosmedprom, as well as the Association of Defense Industry Organizations Manufacturers of Medical Devices and Equipment (APMI-OPK).
Earlier, Novikombank financed the Schwabe project for the production of ambulances, medical service vehicles and specialized transport for transporting people with disabilities for a total of 2 billion rubles.[1]
