2021: Automated issuance of sick leave
PJSC Aeroflot has completed a digital project to create and issue electronic hospital sheets based on SAP HCM for its Medical Center. This system made it possible to automate the full cycle of processing of electronic disability sheets: from issuance to registration in the system with the subsequent calculation of benefits and sending data to the Social Insurance Fund. The project is implemented by RAMAX Group and SAP Services CIS. Ramax announced this on March 17, 2021.
Until mid-2020, the process of issuing disability sheets was carried out manually - the Medical Center, which is part of Aeroflot, printed disability sheets on paper, and the department of accounting performed the reception of sick leave from company employees, entry into the accounting system, calculation and transfer of documents to the FSS. Such a process required a large amount of time and did not exclude the "human factor" when re-entering data.
An important goal of the project was to reduce the labor costs and expenses associated with the processing and administration of paper hospital sheets, as well as eliminating the influence of the "human factor," commented Irina Nikolaeva, chief accountant of Aeroflot PJSC. - In addition, we prepared for the transition to "direct payments" from the FSS and in advance sought to increase the transparency of the movement of the disability certificate for both the Social Insurance Fund and each employee. As a result, a project was implemented that allowed Aeroflot to seamlessly automatically establish an information exchange with the FSS, flexibly responding to the organization's regularly updated document flow requirements. Given that more than 70% of the disability sheets charged for payment were issued by its own Medical Center, Aeroflot received another bonus from the introduction: without additional costs, it switched to Direct Payments from January 1, 2021. |
A feature of the project was the introduction of the SAP - AcceleratedSAP (ASAP) author methodology. It involves a structural approach that accelerates implementation and provides effective user training, provides comprehensive documentation and templates at all stages of the project.
During the implementation of the project, the team overcame a number of difficulties, in particular, we encountered a large amount of functional testing using the FSS circuit of the Russian Federation, with a constant change in the requirements of the department. The implementation of this volume of the project with medical specifics was carried out by us for the first time, so it required a deep study of the solution together with specialists and doctors of the Aeroflot Medical Center, "said Nikita Zhuravsky, project director for the RAMAX Group. |
In the future, this system plans to automate the process of registering and automatically sending data to the FSS for paper hospital, issued to employees of PJSC Aeroflot by third-party medical organizations.
Airlines are not going through the easiest times. Restrictions related to the pandemic have seriously affected the industry and the number of transportation. Against all odds, Aeroflot continues to implement digital projects for its employees. And this suggests that the company sees the importance and need to introduce technologies that will become a serious help to gradually overcome all unforeseen difficulties, "said Alexei Leontovich, Deputy General Director of SAP CIS. |
