2021: Installation of automated control system

On March 19, 2021, LANIT-Ural announced the completion of work on the creation of an automated process control system (APCS) at the main production sites of the Tominsk Mining and Processing Plant.

According to the company, investments in the project are estimated at 77 billion rubles. The enterprise will include the Tominsky and Kalinovsky careers, as well as an enrichment plant. The technologies that will be introduced at Tominsk GOK will make it possible to enrich copper ore with a copper content of less than 0.4%. The project capacity of GOK will be 28 million tons of ore per year, from which more than 500,000 tons of copper concentrate will be produced.

In 2019-2020, LANIT-Ural equipped the main production facilities of the plant with automated control systems: the ore grinding department, the flotation department, the stowage material production workshop, as well as the stowage material transportation workshop to eliminate the coal mine of the Korkinsky mine.

Work on each facility included installation of cable routes and optical lines on the territory of the enterprise and inside the production premises, assembly and installation of APCS cabinets, installation of sensors, development of the I&C system, installation and commissioning. As a result, the concentration plant APCS is a distributed system controlled from a single control room.

LANIT-Ural specialists also installed structured cable networks on the infrastructure of the enterprise and created a system for controlling and controlling the access of the administrative building.

In addition, LANIT-Ural specialists installed an automatic fire extinguishing system at the gas piston station, which provides energy resources to all facilities of the enterprise. During the project, they installed more than 200 modules of powder fire extinguishing and more than 400 detectors.

Special attention should be paid to the creation of an ACS workshop for transporting stowing material to the Korkinsky section. The APCS of the transportation shop is able to monitor the production process in real time, control pumps and shutoff valves, monitor the operation of program and technical components of the system.

The implementation of the Tominsky GOK project will eliminate the Korkinsky coal mine - a large open coal mine in Eurasia. Endogenous fires in the section are a source of atmospheric air pollution in the Chelyabinsk region. To eliminate the section, it is planned to use stowing material, which will be produced on the basis of the tailings of the Tominsky GOK concentration plant. This will make it possible to put out endogenous fires and strengthen the sides of the section.

The project to create an automated system for delivering stowage material to the Korkinsky section provided for work at six geographically distributed facilities of the workshop. To combine these objects into a single controlled system, LANIT-Ural specialists installed more than 50 control cabinets with Siemens AG SIEMENS, Danfoss, Rittal equipment and connected 329 sensors.

Our company has introduced modern technologies and equipment from world developers and suppliers. The level of production organization makes requirements for an automated process control system. The built APCS infrastructure will allow efficient and safe operation in all areas and divisions of the enterprise.
