2021: Replication of the system planning flexible work schedules of line personnel to 210 stores

The Zenden shoe network and the Verme IT company have completed the circulation of a joint project aimed at automating human resources management and improving business efficiency. The Workforce Management of the Year solution is implemented in 210 stores of the network and is used by more than 3,000 employees. This was announced on March 29, 2021 by Verme.

The project includes automated calculation of staff requirements, automated planning of flexible work schedules of line personnel and an analytical unit for monitoring network indicators.

Verme optimized the manual planning of employee schedules, improved customer flow forecasts, and balanced staff load during the working day, increasing the percentage of useful time, and reducing processing and underperformance. To effectively distribute personnel during hours with increased customer flow and increase the level of service, Zenden carried out a number of organizational changes and transferred some employees to flexible shifts of 2.3 and 4 hours. The change in the classic schedules is due not only to the tasks of the business, but also to the satisfaction of employees.

Before the implementation of the WFM system, the managers of each store were engaged in scheduling for personnel. Not all of them can correctly predict customer flow and plan the optimal schedule in order to serve visitors with the right number of staff with the right level of service. This resulted in a loss of conversion and revenue. Using the Verme WFM system, these tasks are solved. Now, for each store, the system calculates an accurate forecast for the coming month and automatically selects the necessary design from changes in store staff, "commented Alexei Podymov, head of the Zenden motivation department.

The Verme system itself builds employee schedules, and the store manager adjusts them, if necessary: increases the number of consultants or sellers, changes the composition of employees per shift. For an accurate forecast, Verme uses historical statistics, and also takes into account the current trends in customer flow, which is especially relevant in the postcode period: it analyzes traffic, checks, staffing tables, checks the number of staff during vacations and holidays, takes into account mandatory employee breaks and routine processes, and also calculates standards for servicing store visitors by employees.

The Zenden team carried out all necessary organizational changes and quickly prepared the company's personnel for the implementation of the WFM system. This allowed the Verme team to implement the system in record time and in two months bring all the stores of the chain to the necessary indicators. Very valuable is the functionality of biometric recognition of employees and the system of actual recording of worked time, which at the time of the start of the project was already implemented in the Zenden network. This allows you to monitor personnel compliance with the planned schedules drawn up at Verme, "said Dmitry Filimonov, project director at VERME .
