The Moscow State Inspectorate for the Control of the Use of Real Estate Objects (GIN) buys about 200 wearable cameras in order to remotely monitor the work of its inspectors.

According to Vedomosti, citing materials published on the public procurement website, the DVR should be attached to the inspector's clothes, included during the inspection and broadcast sound and video to the Moscow Unified Data Storage Center, where data are collected from other Moscow video cameras. At the same time, the GIN employee needs to wear a special badge warning others about the ongoing video surveillance, the publication says.

Equipping miniature video cameras with the function of online video broadcasting of metropolitan officials identifying self-construction and other violations in the real estate sector is aimed at combating abuse during inspections. Earlier, police officers, employees of the Center for Traffic Management, controllers in land transport and the metro began to wear similar devices in Moscow.

The State Inspectorate for the Control of the Use of Real Estate in Moscow is actively introducing new technologies. For example, it conducts automated control to detect violations using more than 30 mechanisms, including artificial intelligence, urban video surveillance cameras, using quadrocopters, a camera analysis algorithm, etc.

The head of the department, Vladislav Ovchinsky, said that earlier, together with the Moscow Department of Information Technology, a neural network was trained to recognize signs of violations. According to Ovchinsky, about 37% of all violations in 2020 in Moscow were identified automatically, that is, using quadrocopters and artificial intelligence.[1]
