UTair uses SAP S/4 HANA in all major areas

2021: Operation of SAP S/4 HANA

Two years have passed since the start of operation of the system SAP S/4 HANA in the group of companies. UTair This became known on April 2, 2021. During the implementation, standard and advanced functionality was applied in all main areas of activity - logistics inventory management financial , accounting, as well as a stack of integration services (more than 70 threads), thanks to which from information production industry systems are transferred to the main S/4 enterprise management system SAP , thereby increasing the speed and accuracy of reflecting this data business processes in the company.

As of April 2021, the following units are in operation in the unified SAP information system based on S/4 HANA:

In 2 companies of the UTair Group (PJSC UTair Airline, JSC UTair-Helicopter Services):

• Purchasing, Inventory Management, and Sales.
• Accounting and Tax, Cost Generation (Controlling)
• Electronic document flow (external legally significant, internal).

In 8 companies of the UTair Group (PJSC UTair Airline, JSC UTair Helicopter Services, JSC UTair Engineering, LLC Turuhan Airline, LLC TS Technician, ZAO UTair, ANO DPO CPP, JSC Airport Surgut):

• Treasury.
• Contract accounting.

The implementation of a single SAP information system has achieved many positive results:

• Reduced labor costs of employees and reporting time due to optimization of the process of reflecting business transactions in accounting for settlements with counterparties and the movement of property, including due to mirroring of intra-group operations.
• Systemic monitoring of performance of contractual obligations, financial control is organized; faster obtaining information by implementing end-to-end business processes and a large spectrum of analytical data and flexible reports.
• By 5 days, the time for reflecting business transactions in accounting was reduced due to the organization of electronic document management and a single archive of primary accounting documents.
• Parallel accounting and tax accounting are organized. In terms of excise tax accounting, reporting deadlines were reduced by 8 days.
• Implemented functionality for compliance with the legislation regarding currency control of foreign trade transactions.
• Optimized IT landscape.

Together with standard solutions, LLC Nauka introduced the VAT Infosystem based on SAP products in UTair. This software package is an add-on to the SAP standard, which allows you to significantly improve the quality and efficiency when preparing a VAT tax return.

The VAT information system automatically calculates sections of the declaration, performs formalized checks, has extended functionality in terms of invoice registries and significantly speeds up the preparation of the VAT declaration. Thanks to the VAT Infosystem, UTair managed to minimize errors and reduce the influence of the human factor in the preparation of the declaration, significantly increase the efficiency of the accounting service, make the process of preparing the VAT declaration manageable and transparent.

UTair, in close cooperation with Nauka LLC, continues to improve business process management by implementing S/4 tools. Nauka also provides technical support to users during the operation of the SAP information system, which ensures the prompt resolution of issues arising during the operation of the system and the maintenance of its stability.

The world pandemic in 2020, caused by the spread of COVID-19, did not allow joint work of the participants on a common site.
