2021: Connecting a set of digital services
On March 31, 2021, Rostelecom announced the creation of a complex of digital services and services for the Derbent Historical, Architectural and Archaeological Museum-Reserve. The company's employees provided the facility with Internet, organized a seamless Wi-Fi zone for visitors throughout the Naryn-Kala fortress, connected four video cameras and launched a round-the-clock online broadcast from them to the museum's official website, and also combined all administrative buildings with the help of 20 Virtual Exchange rooms.
Telecom infrastructure based on digital services opens up additional opportunities for the activities of a multifunctional cultural object. We were especially convinced of this during the period of quarantine and self-isolation. People visited museums, theaters, exhibitions online, without putting themselves and others at risk. By the way, after the removal of quarantine restrictions, more than 200 thousand 'virtual travelers' visited our museums. Choosing a provider, we focused on the ratio of the quality of services and the complexity of solutions, "said Viktor Chesnokov, director of the Derbent Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve. |
We are certainly proud of the implementation of such large-scale and significant projects for the republic. In general, the infrastructure and resource capabilities of our company allow us to continue to promote the preservation and digitization of exhibits, scientific documents, archival materials and other historically significant objects, "said Ruslan Yarakhmedov, director of the Dagestan branch of Rostelecom PJSC. |

A city with a special historical and cultural heritage arouses the interest of people around the world. And now remote acquaintance with our cultural objects, museums, folk crafts, holidays with the help of technology becomes possible anywhere in the world. Digitalization of the museum complex is a fait accompli. And this is another step into the future. In the future, the implementation of other projects for the development of the Digital Economy, "added Rustam Pirmagomedov, head of the Derbent administration. }}
