On March 31, 2021, Rostelecom announced the creation of a complex of digital services and services for the Derbent Historical, Architectural and Archaeological Museum-Reserve. The company's employees provided the facility with Internet, organized a seamless Wi-Fi zone for visitors throughout the Naryn-Kala fortress, connected four video cameras and launched a round-the-clock online broadcast from them to the museum's official website, and also combined all administrative buildings with the help of 20 Virtual Exchange rooms.

Telecom infrastructure based on digital services opens up additional opportunities for the activities of a multifunctional cultural object. We were especially convinced of this during the period of quarantine and self-isolation. People visited museums, theaters, exhibitions online, without putting themselves and others at risk. By the way, after the removal of quarantine restrictions, more than 200 thousand 'virtual travelers' visited our museums.
