2021: Update Cash Solution
The chain of food hypermarkets of the Chernozemye "LINE" has updated the cash register solution - all 600 cash registers as of April 2021 operate under the control of the Set Retail front-office system. The retailer accelerated service, launched marketing campaigns to increase loyalty, and ensured control over the turnover of labeled goods. This was announced on April 15, 2021 by CSI.
As of April 2021, the trading network is located in 10 regions of the Central Federal District - 27 food hypermarkets, three of which are located in MegaGrinn shopping center. In a day, up to 15,000 people pass through one "LINE," the speed and quality of customer service is priority No. 1, therefore, when the established cash solution ceased to meet these requirements, the replacement project started. The product was technologically outdated, slowly finalized, and updates related to changes in the legislation of the Russian Federation were paid. Data were lost between the cash registers and the back office, there was no tool for controlling excise alcohol sales.
Since March 2020, all ticket offices of the network have been operating under the control of Set Retail 10. With the support of the CSI vendor, the LINE specialists integrated the updated software with their GESTORI ERP system, as well as with their own bonus system. According to cashiers, cash desks began to work faster and more stable, the system interface simplified the adaptation of newcomers. Set Retail always meets the legal requirements, updates are provided free of charge.
Set Retail's built-in loyalty module allows you to centrally manage stocks, coupons, and bonus programs. Before replacing the cash system, LINE implemented a loyalty program, but, having received additional tools for marketing initiatives, the retailer offered customers various types of shares - discounts on sets, couponing, shares with booklets for sticking chips. By imposing restrictions on discounts on categories of goods, wholesale or within the framework of shares, marketers now more flexibly control promotional budgets.
The Set Mark service controls the turnover of marked alcohol products - for the year there was not a single comment or fine from the inspection authorities.

As a result of the project, we not only improved the operation of cash lines, but also got opportunities for business development, said Timur Konik, head of the information technology department of the trade service of Corporation GRINN JSC.

The retailer plans to launch a weight module, a price tag printing module. The prospect of switching to electronic price tags, introducing self-shopping technologies in the network is being discussed.
