2025: P7-Office Implementation Process

The Murmansk region is introducing the P7-Office office suite, which has replaced foreign counterparts. The Ministry of Digital Development of the Murmansk Region reports that the project is included in the regional digital transformation strategy for import substitution of software and improving information security. As of May 2025, 908 P7-Office licenses were purchased, of which more than 600 were desktop versions. This was announced by the P7-Office (formerly New Communication Technologies, NKT) on May 19, 2025.

The transition began in 2020, when the Information Technology Center of the Murmansk Region acquired the first batch of the P7-Office corporate server. Preliminary testing showed that the domestic office suite corresponds to foreign counterparts in functionality and convenience. After the positive results, the supply increased: CIT MO purchased additional jobs for regional authorities, ensuring the stable deployment of office software.

The implementation process was almost seamless: users did not have serious problems. The key factor of successful implementation was competent preparation for the transition to a domestic product and a unified software and technical environment based on domestic solutions, including the Astra Linux operating system.

Thanks to this approach, employees quickly adapted to the new interface, and emerging issues were resolved on the spot with the active participation of specialists from the Lad IT Group and the P7-Office support service.

Special attention is paid to educational institutions: back in 2021, the region concluded an agreement providing for the supply of educational licenses "P7-Office" for schools and preschool organizations. This made it possible to use domestic software not only in government agencies, but also in the educational process, helping students and teachers to master tools for working with documents. Already almost 400 institutions of the region use 82,000 licenses "P7-Office" in their educational activities.

2021: Agreement on the supply of a package of office solutions "P7-Office" to schools in the region
