Resignation from the post of general director of Yandex.Taxi LLC

At the end of November 2021, Grigory Dergachev left Yandex.Taxi LLC, where he served as general director.

Appointment to the post of general director of Yandex.Taxi LLC

In mid-April 2021, it became known about the appointment of Grigory Dergachev as the new general director of Yandex.Taxi LLC. Prior to that, he held the position of product director in the company and worked in it for more than eight years.

The change of head of the Russian legal entity "Yandex.Taxi" was reported by the agency "Interfax" with reference to the data of the system "SPARK-Interfax." The company's former CEO was Daniil Shuleiko, who after leaving this position began to lead the Yandex business group called E-commerce and ridetech (includes Yandex Go and Yandex.Market services). This unit was allocated in February 2021.

According to the agency in the press service of Yandex.Taxi, Daniil Shuleiko at the same time retained the position of general director of MLU B.V., which is jointly owned by Yandex and Uber.

Shortly before the change of CEO of Yandex.Taxi, the company underwent a restructuring, in which the direction of unmanned vehicles was allocated to a separate company with a subsequent investment of $150 million in it.

At the same time, the car sharing company Yandex.Drive became part of Yandex.Taxi. Earlier, the car sharing service belonged to the experimental areas of Yandex. Integration will allow services to jointly develop common security technologies for them and improve the fleet management system, as well as open up new opportunities for users and partners, Yandex is confident.

Earlier, the Yandex.Taxi segment included an online taxi ordering service (Yandex.Taxi and Uber in Russia and the near abroad), a food direction (a service for delivering orders from Yandex.Food restaurants, a service for delivering sets for preparing Yandex.Chef dishes and a hyperlocal service for delivering Yandex.Shop products), as well as the direction of development of unmanned vehicles.[1]
