2021: Conducting an online lesson based on the Spherical platform

On April 21, 2021, Rostelecom announced that in the westernmost region of Russia - the Kaliningrad region - the first online lesson was held on the basis of the domestic digital platform Spherical, developed by Digital Education. The event was attended by the Minister of Education of the Kaliningrad Region Svetlana Truseneva and the director of the Kaliningrad branch of Rostelecom Alexei Semenov.

A video communication session was established between the regional Center for Digital Education of Children "IT-Cube" and students of the secondary school of the village of Romanovo, Zelenograd urban district. Specialists of the "IT cube" conducted a lesson for eighth graders on the basics of cybersecurity.

The Spherical platform is a comprehensive educational product. It is very valuable that only certified content is used here, which is verified by the expert community and allowed for use by our children taking into account their age and physiological characteristics. This is a closed circuit that allows parents not to worry that there will be a leak of information, that the personal data of the child, his individual achievements, and a digital portfolio will become available to someone. The platform is securely protected. Each participant in the educational process will have his own personal account. Schools have begun testing Spherical - 44 educational organizations in the region use the platform for April 2021. In 2022, Spherical will be introduced into all schools in the Kaliningrad region, "said Svetlana Truseneva, Minister of Education of the Kaliningrad Region.

An affordable and 100% domestic resource for distance education of schoolchildren is a huge step forward. In a big plus from this, guys from the villages of the region who do not have the opportunity to engage in additional education, such as in the "IT cube." Now the teachers of this digital education center will be able to transfer their knowledge to schoolchildren using the "Sphere." We are not worried about the quality of communication - in the Kaliningrad region, all schools for April 2021 are connected to high-speed Internet and are ready for online education, "said Alexey Semenov, director of the Kaliningrad branch of Rostelecom.
