2021: Automate AML and Complaince processes

On April 23, 2021, the OTR IT company announced the launch of RPA technology for automating the AML and Complaince processes at the head office of Hamkorbank IBC, located in the city of Andijan of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The bank applied RPA technology to improve the overall efficiency of operational processes for processing requests from national regulators. As a result, the speed of their analysis and the quality of the submitted data increased.

Software robots help the Bank's internal control service collect and verify data from various information systems, performing uniform routine operations and giving employees the opportunity to focus on analytics and decision-making.

As the technological basis for robotization, AKB "Hamkorbank" chose the Automation Anywhere RPA Enterprise Platform platform of Automation Anywhere (California, USA). The implementation consultant was the Russian company OTR, which has extensive experience in implementing Automation Anywhere in the CIS.

For us, a distinctive feature of the project was that it was carried out in the conditions of restrictions caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, when the OTR and Bank project teams worked remotely. We were once again convinced that we can perform the transformation of operational processes and launch software robots in a large organization without leaving home, "said Alexei Ilyin, head of the RPA/AI OTR department.

OTR has developed a software robot, which is automatically launched several times during the day and sequentially performs operations: receives and analyzes incoming requests from national regulators of the republic, collecting information about operations in several information systems of the Bank, as well as updating reference information in these systems, bringing them into line with the latest data of regulators. According to the results of the work, robots inform employees of the Bank's internal control service.

The management of AKB "Hamkorbank" is always aimed at applying the most advanced solutions in the field of information technology to automate the Bank's operational production. The first RPA technology implementation project confirmed the high efficiency of application of software robots in the Bank. In the future development of the Bank's operational production, we will use RPA as one of the proven automation tools along with electronic document management systems and the best-in-class automated banking systems, "said Muzaffar Tillaev, Head of Banking Technology Department, Hamkorbank.

According to the results of the project, AKB "Hamkorbank" achieved an increase in the speed of processing requests and reducing operational risks by several times. In the near future, the Bank plans to expand the application of RPA technology to automate other operational processes.
