Capsula (clothing delivery service)

Capsula is a Russian service that delivers personal clothing selections from stylists. The project was launched in 2019.

The company develops a recommendation system that predicts the probability of purchasing a particular thing based on comparing customer data and their interaction with clothes from past orders. To use the service, you need to register and fill out a questionnaire in which Capsula clarifies the size, favorite colors and combinations in clothes and attitude to accessories. One of 35 stylists is assigned to the client, who helps with the creation of the image. After ordering, service couriers deliver a box with a set of 6 clothing elements home.

History

2021: Attracting $600,000 investment

At the end of April 2021, Capsula announced the raising of $600 thousand from the venture capital fund Expo Capital, business angel Oleg Maslennikov, marketing director of Carprice Dmitry Ryzhov and an unnamed European fund. The startup intends to spend the investments received on the development of its IT platform, strengthening the team and scaling the service, TAdviser told Capsula.

Russian service for the delivery of personal clothes from stylists Capsula attracted $600 thousand investment

The founders of Capsula, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, are Pavel Shibanov (41.5%), Anastasia Shibanova (17.5%) and Igor Studennikov (41%). The company claims that its business grew about six times over the year, thanks to which it was possible to attract the attention of investors. By the end of April 2021, the startup delivered a total of more than 10 thousand orders, the company's monthly revenue is more than 10 million rubles (Capsula's own data).

2020: Attracting investment, including from YellowRockets

At the beginning of 2020, it became known that Capsula attracted investments from the venture fund YellowRockets, which, according to the results of the transaction, received 5% of the company. In July 2020, the service attracted $150 thousand from Gettgart regional director Alexander Artemyev, Sports.ru head Mark Ten, Sports.ru financial director Stanislav Korostelev and business angel Oleg Maslennikov.
