The company GetTaxi announced in January 2015 the appointment of Alexander Artemyev to the post of operating director. Previously, he performed a similar function in Ostrovok.ru. In Ostrovok.ru, Alexander Artemyev restructured the operating block, including reducing the costs of the call center due to its transfer to a home format. In GetTaxi, Artemyev will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company in Russia in B2C and in B2B directions. He will pay special attention to the development of the VIP segment.
Alexander worked for 8 years in the field of investment. He was engaged in the search and evaluation of investment projects, as well as the operational management and development of portfolio companies in the post-transaction period. Prior to joining Ostrovok.ru, he worked in investment companies in the United States and Russia: Frontier Ventures, a venture capital fund specializing in investments in Internet companies, Blackstreet Capital, an investment fund focusing on restructuring small and medium-sized businesses, and UBS, an investment banking division.
He began his career in the Moscow division of the private investment company TT Group as an analyst. In 2006 he received a bachelor's degree at the Faculty of Finance at REU named after G.V. Plekhanov. Alexander Artemyev has an MBA from the University of Chicago. The main subject of his research is finance and entrepreneurship.
