2021: Creation of a consortium of universities in Russia for training personnel for the digital economy
On May 6, 2021, it became known about the creation in Russia of a consortium of universities for training personnel for the digital economy. This is a joint project of the Ministry of Digital Affairs of the Russian Federation and Innopolis University.
According to the office of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, the consortium will unify and standardize the main approaches to training personnel for the digital economy, as well as form educational modules on digital competencies for teachers and students.
We expect that the consortium will become an effective mechanism for communication between educational organizations. This, in turn, will allow you to train teachers and methodologists as quickly as possible, as well as adapt digital educational modules for students to the request of the real sector of the economy, "Chernyshenko said. |
According to him, the main task at the first stage will be to determine the current level of digital competencies of educational institutions and assess the level of knowledge of students themselves. Based on the results of the audit, optimal tools will be selected for training teachers, and then students in digital competencies. Student training in updated programs will begin in September 2021.
The teacher development model consists of two stages:
- At the first stage, experts conduct a comprehensive competency assessment, which includes tests, interviews and team events with the solution of IT cases;
- based on the results obtained, programs of upcoming training flows are adjusted to obtain skills that correspond to the level of digital knowledge of students.
By the beginning of May 2021, a consortium of universities for training personnel for the digital economy includes 185 organizations of higher and 101 organizations of secondary vocational education from all over Russia. This list will be replenished.
