2021: Launch of a subscription rental service in Moscow
On May 10, 2021, Svalka launched a subscription rental service for the removal of unnecessary things in Moscow. The company announced this on its Instagram page.
You will be able to rent any clothes from our assortment for 3000₽ per month - this is both a subscription and a minimum deposit. It can be increased, but the subscription cost will remain the same, the report said. |
You can pick up rented clothes at a second stop in Bersenevsky Lane. Having paid from 3 thousand rubles, any things you like (it can be one cloak or a whole set of clothes) can be changed at least every day. You can increase the deposit and rent more things. Svalka says that all clothes are eco-processed.
It is noted that the new service worked in test mode, and in order to use it, users need to make Svalka a request to the director on Instagram.
For us, this is an interesting experiment that has no analogues. If it is very successful, we may come to a chain of individual stores in the internal cycle, where our customers can constantly dress by subscription. This will be another step towards conscious consumption, which should change the market, "said Roman Dmitrienko, brand manager and co-founder of the project, whose words are quoted by the company's press service. |
Svalka takes out not only unnecessary clothes, but also furniture, equipment and other items. They are disinfected and sorted in the warehouse, and then sold on the company's second-story network. By May 2021, the project is operating in seven Russian cities, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Samara.
The company notes that the subscription rental service was the result of a combination of "conscious consumption and sharing economy."[1]
