2021: Transition to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017

On May 11, 2021, Axoft announced that the Awara IT system integrator had completed a project to transfer Mirrico Group of Companies to the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017 ERP system. As a result of the project, 250 jobs were automated in 10 months. Regenerative planning tasks were solved, and the transparency and manageability of supply chains were increased.

Mirriko Group, a Russian group of production and service companies, produces and supplies chemicals, provides engineering support to customers on the use of chemical solutions, as well as service services. The group has six divisions and business units. On the basis of sales orders to business units, the company's Logistics and Support Center centrally carries out procurement and logistics, plans production, procurement, movement, taking into account free balances and orders already placed. Since business units and CLOs are different legal entities, an inter-company chain of purchases and sales was created. Each order was processed separately by order-to-order planning in semi-manual mode. Balances were checked, reserves, production orders, transfers and purchases were created; The possibility of using articles from other business units was analyzed. Mirrico Group of Companies has set a goal: to reduce the number of stocks, increase their turnover, increase the transparency and manageability of supply chains, and reduce the cost of goods.

It was necessary to solve the following problems:

  • Implementation of regenerative planning, in which, already at the planning stage, Mirrico General Ledger receives value estimates of the selected production planning variant. Implement the ability to dynamically change sales, production, purchasing plans with the ability to fix plans for key transactions.
  • Plan supply chain options based on transportation costs, component purchases, processing costs, and additional costs. Use the most appropriate supply chain variant in planning (by value/delivery date).
  • Implement an inter-company chain mechanism with the ability to manage items, required quantities, delivery and production dates across the supply chain.

To solve these issues, the ERP system Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017 was chosen. During the implementation project, Awara IT system integrator specialists implemented the following stages:

  • developed the functionality of intercompany chains;
  • implemented and finalized the regenerative planning functionality, including dynamic changes to the production plan and procurement plan when new needs arise, the ability to fix key transactions and projects (hard reserves) and provide them with purchased goods and manufactured products, etc.;
  • Have developed options for planning production options based on transportation costs, component purchases, and additional costs.
  • implemented the planning of inventory in service contracts;
  • Created simplified web interfaces for warehouses and manufacturing
  • developed a notification system that reduces the response time of users to events in the system.
