Alexander Evgenyevich Surinov is the Russian statesman, the Head of the Federal State Statistics Service.

Biography

Was born on September 15, 1958 in Moscow, Russia.

Education

1981 - graduated from Moscow Institute of Economics and Statistics.

Scientific degree

1989 - Candidate of Economic Sciences.

2001 - the Doctor of Economics.

Career

• worked with 1981-1992 in bodies of the state statistics.

• worked as 1992-1998 at executive positions in the Center of an economic environment at the Government of the Russian Federation.

In April, 1998 - it is appointed the head of department of statistics of foreign countries and the international cooperation of Goskomstat of Russia.

In May, 1998 - it is claimed by the member of board of Goskomstat of Russia.

1999-2000 - the First Deputy CEO of the Russian statistical agency.

2000-2004 - the first deputy chairman of the State committee of the Russian Federation according to the statistics.

2004-2009 - the deputy manager of Federal State Statistics Service.

Since December, 2009 - the Head of the Federal State Statistics Service.
