Quote
Got a job in the company in 1997, the former colleague from bank where I worked before called. Received a position of the head of department, it was very interesting to me to get on modern, well organized enterprise[1].
And further, as like to speak in army, the gradual growth of positions, and already 11 years I work as the director of IT infrastructure. The most difficult in work was to develop department from three to 25 IT specialists — the company grew many times. And it was important not simply to help with this growth, but also to look beforehand, for about three-four years, to feel dynamics of the company and to expect with what speed it will develop and in what direction. Usually it worked well, but not always: there was it that about a year my service braked a little because it was not succeeded to predict dynamics of opening of shops.
Before me tried to entice, but I always refused these offers. Now this process stopped, perhaps, just the age approached. Here such as I, am a lot of. In the company it is very comfortable — in it the reason.
I look at the daughters to whom I 31 and 34 years, and see that they often change work (though not each three years). They are at a stage of career development, and, probably, it is the correct approach. How now society and the relations in it develops, in good sense provokes mobility. It brings in life what was called temporary creative commands earlier — when people could work from the different ends of the earth on one project. Everything changes, and it is good that now such opportunities appeared. If 20 years ago it was possible, then I would be someone another.
The routine is always: current transactions repeat day by day — completely it will never not be possible to leave from it. The only way to cope with it — to do what is necessary and it is correct to distribute tasks between employees.
For my career I remember only three cases when I wanted to throw everything. Perhaps it was connected with a high load, there was not enough holiday... It is normal: each person — the world in himself, and it lives not only at work, there are still friends, family, a hobby. It is important to be able to separate work from personal, sometimes it helps not to bear personal problems for work and vice versa — not to bring a problem from work to family. Work is not all life, though its most part.
