The warehouse is located in the city of Saran, the storage area is 3650 sq.m., there is also a street storage area with an area of ​ ​ 10,000 sq.m. The warehouse stores measuring/cut-off goods, piece and oversized products - only about 2200 active items. For storage, pallet racks, shelf mezzanine are used, and floor and street storage is also carried out.

AXELOT WMS X5 was integrated with the enterprise information system "1C: Enterprise Management." The integration technology is the DATAREON ESB service bus.

In general, project tasks were quite standard - to automate all key warehouse operations. Nevertheless, the project team had to take into account the specifics of the warehouse during production and the peculiarities of the stored products.

For example, in the warehouse, cable rewinding is implemented as part of the replenishment procedure from the storage area to the winding area. Also, during the cable selection from the street storage area, the process of selection with a delay was introduced - cable selection is carried out after heating, which is especially relevant in winter and in the conditions of the sharply continental climate of Kazakhstan. The transfer of selected orders with raw materials for production to the end point (equipment) is realized using transit transfers through certain warehouse gates.

Automation has improved warehousing efficiency and reduced reliance on warehouse personnel. The number of staff was reduced by optimizing processes, while the speed of operations only increased.
