Ak Bars Bank accelerates data processing in mortgage lending using Abbyy technologies

2021: Implementation of Machine Document Recognition

On June 15, 2021, Ak Bars Bank announced that it had simplified the processing of data in mortgage lending and accelerated this process thanks to ABBYY technologies, a global developer of solutions in the field of intelligent information processing and business process analysis.

The ABBYY solution independently determines the types of documents required to obtain a mortgage, recognizes the necessary attributes and sends them for verification to bank specialists. Due to this approach, it takes 2.4 times less time to process one document in the framework of the mortgage lending process than before, and customers get a solution to their issue much faster. According to the results of 2020, the bank saved 9430 hours of working time at this stage.

The decision is used by 20 bank employees from the department of processing and issuing credit applications of individuals. Scanned client documents come from partners of the bank - real estate agencies and realtors. The ABBYY platform FlexiCapture classifies 13 different types of documents, including a passport, birth certificate, SNILS, certificate in form 2-personal income tax and others. The solution recognizes about 50 attributes. After the employee has checked the correctness of the data, they enter the service to create a credit application and approve a loan in the banking system. With automation, requests are processed 2.4 times faster.
