High precision meteorological research function from Pessl
On the agrotechnological platform "IntTerra" appeared a function of high-precision meteorological research from the Austrian developer Pessl. This was announced by IntTerra (IntTerra) on September 1, 2021.
It is planned that in the future the owners of meteorological stations will iMETOS be able to get an expanded flexible analysis of weather data transmitted from devices installed in the fields. Pessl stations collect data, and IntTerra IT services analyze them and give users consistent scripts and recommendations for work in the field.
According to IntTerra representatives, the company continues to develop an ecosystem model on its platform, gradually introduce not only additional functions in the application software into the project, but also integrate an increasing number of technical devices, and the current cooperation with Pessl is a continuation of integration into partner systems.
According to Evgeny Karpov, product manager of the SkyScout service on the IntTerra platform, such cooperation is based on the task of meeting the growing demand of platform users for high-precision weather data.
The initial functionality of iMETOS stations allows you to track changes in weather conditions, rainfall, assess sheet humidity and total solar radiation.
The IntTerra platform, in turn, is able to supplement this information with analytics from its own SkyScout agroservice, integrated digital directories of the agronomist and modules for interpreting satellite imagery of fields (including those obtained from the constellation of orbital satellite Planet Labs).
Thanks to these iMetos, the appearance of plant diseases can be foreseen. And using satellite imagery analysis tools, you can track the development of the disease in the field and develop the most effective scenario for its prevention in time.
Such a combination of two analytical tools opens up additional opportunities for agronomic analysis, allows for clearer spatial information, including taking into account the temporal factor, the history of cultural care performed on a particular field.
Together, the weather data obtained from Pessl through the prism of IntTerra improve the accuracy and effectiveness of decisions made by the farmer in the perimeter of his farm.
Accurate weather accounting for the agronomist is important as for a climber. If the climber does not guess with the weather, he will jeopardize his life. If the weather data is missed by the agronomist, does not notice the risk of a disease in the field, does not treat the field with protective equipment - he may lose the entire crop, "Evgeny Karpov explained the importance of meteorological analysis. |
Launch of the platform for agriculture
The Russian agricultural technology company IntTerra, which attracted $15 million in investments, is launching an integrated platform for agriculture of the same name. The company announced this on June 16, 2021.
Based on the platform, IntTerra offers personalized IT solutions for each segment of farmers. Agricultural producers can improve the management of crop production processes, receive advice from producers and distributors of plant protection products, seeds and fertilizers using the 'SkyScout' service. It also allows you to plan production technology using deep analysis of farm fields, optimizing costs, record and monitor ongoing technological operations, analyze real-time crop development, and receive timely warnings about risks associated with weather events or pests. Farmers can purchase the necessary technologies based on the IntTerra Market marketplace, and suppliers of SZR, seeds, fertilizers and machinery, using agricultural analytics implemented in the SkyScout Advisor service, can increase sales by early identification of hidden crop development problems in their customers' farms and offering individual solutions before the start of the season. In turn, the IntTerra Finance service allows you to attract financing, sell crops and use the indicators of your own fields as an additional tool to strengthen the credit history before banks.
According to the definition of the commercial director of IntTerra, Yuri Vasilkov, the project is developing according to ecosystem mechanics, that is, it is presented as a complex of agricultural technological solutions developed by the company since 2016 and grouped around the main needs of agricultural participants: farmers, producers of products, suppliers of seeds, fertilizers, machinery and NWR, agricultural consultants, traders, bankers financing industry transactions, etc. At the same time, the platform is completely independent and is not under the control of beneficiaries in the agricultural market.
At the time of the announcement, 5 banks are ready to act as partners of the project. In the 2021-2022 season, platform customers will be able to use the updated version of the IntTerra Finance service, it will become a single window for access to bank financial products. The site will have the opportunity to compare the proposals of different banks and immediately submit an application for financing. Farms that actively use the SkyScout service will be able to receive agronomic scoring of their fields and provide it to banks for additional confirmation of creditworthiness. The plans include connecting a pool of insurance and leasing companies to the service. Some banks are independently trying to create similar ecosystems of auxiliary services for farmers.
The model of a single integrated platform transfers competition in the industry to another level, when the agricultural producer receives the maximum benefit, the best offer possible, being able to choose, compare and analyze technologies and offers in a convenient format. For manufacturers and distributors running on the platform, this approach provides additional advantages, thanks to a better understanding of the technological processes and the state of their customers' cultures, they can make not only offers that accurately meet the needs of farmers, but also significantly increase the efficiency of their sales by gaining full transparency in the processes of creating demand for products and working with their teams with customers agricultural producers, notes IntTerra CEO Vitaly Buzu.

In the agricultural market in the segment of online trading platforms for June 2021, about two dozen projects operate, but each of them provides limited functionality within a specific agricultural niche or business process, IntTerre says.
