All schools of the Republic of Kalmykia are switching to the Russian office software "MyOffice"

2021: Agreement on Granting "MyOffice Education" Licenses to 150 Schools of Kalmykia

The administration of the Republic of Kalmykia concluded an agreement on cooperation in the field of information technology with the company "New Cloud Technologies," which the latter announced on June 24, 2021. Under the agreement, all 150 schools in the region will switch to Russian software.

Under the terms of the agreement, all educational organizations of Kalmykia will receive MyOffice Education licenses at zero cost. This is a safe Russian office software that is intended for educational institutions. With MyOffice Education, students and teachers can create and edit text documents, spreadsheets, and view presentations. A distinctive feature of "MyOffice Education" is a special customizable panel that allows teachers to conduct interactive lessons and improve interaction with students. Domestic office software is compatible with all common operating systems.

Together with the software, schools of the Republic will also receive a special electronic training manual on digital literacy and domestic office software "ABC MyOffice." The manual was developed by the center for organizing training on products of MyOffice ANO "Knowledge Hub MyOffice" and approved by education experts.

In order to make the transition to domestic office software comfortable, MyOffice specialists will conduct a series of training webinars for teachers on the use of "MyOffice Education." Teachers will be able to get acquainted with the product in detail and learn how to include the "MyOffice ABC" in the curriculum of elementary school.

The development of skills in working with technology and the formation of digital literacy of schoolchildren is a reliable investment in the future of our country. The transition of general education institutions of the Republic to My Office products will make training in digital skills even more affordable, including for students of rural schools, "said Alexei Eteev, Minister of Digital Development of the Republic of Kalmykia.
