2022: Addition of chapters on the fundamentals of information processes and methods of information protection

Knowledge Hub MyOffice on January 18, 2022 presented an updated edition of the digital literacy manual "MyOffice ABC." When preparing the publication, the comments and wishes of teachers who use the ABC MyOffice in their pedagogical practice were taken into account.

This manual includes additional chapters on the basics of information processes and methods of information protection. The updated MyOffice ABC contains 34 classes and 5 practical works. The editorial board included specialists from Kaspersky Lab, an expert company in the field of information security, who developed lessons on the basics and principles of digital hygiene, and also talked about the basic rules for protecting information on the network.

There is a lot of useful and interesting content on the Internet, but at the same time various troubles can be expected on the network of children. Only according to our survey, 30% of young users encountered or heard about cyberbullying, and 14% faced online fraud, "explained Andrei Sidenko, head of Kaspersky Lab's department on children's online security. - Digital literacy is one of the most important skills in the XXI century. We hope that the My MyOffice ABC will be a useful tool that will help children explore and learn the digital world safer.

The book significantly redesigned the structure of classes: now each topic can be mastered in a game form during one lesson. Another important difference of the new My MyOffice ABC is the ISBN number assigned to the book, and now the printed version of the manual can be stored in libraries. The electronic edition can be downloaded for free on the MyOffice website.

The use of the "MyOffice ABC" in the educational process was approved by experts in the field of education, in particular, teachers of the Moscow City Pedagogical University (MGPU): Irina Levchenko, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor, supervisor of the department of informatics, management and technology and Lyudmila Kartashova, assistant professor of the department of informatics, management and technology.

The training materials "My MyOffice ABC" will help elementary school students to form and develop the necessary IT skills in everyday life: from safe search of information on the Internet to plotting and creating a multimedia document. The book introduces the reader to the types of information and the main rules for its protection, talks about popular types of files and their extensions, helps to master the basic functions of text and tabular editors of documents that will definitely be useful to the student when preparing and presenting educational projects, "said Irina Levchenko, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Scientific Director of the Department of Informatics, Management and Technology of MGPU.

Practicing teachers of Russian schools also praised the quality of the material collected at ABC MyOffice and the prospect of using the manual in computer science lessons.

2021: Announcement of "MyOffice ABC" - manuals on domestic office software for primary school

In February 2021, the first in Russia manual on domestic office software for primary school was released. We are talking about a project called "MyOffice ABC," developed by the competence center of ANO "Knowledge Hub MyOffice."

The publication contains 14 thematic classes, the study of which is supposed to be conducted in lessons together with the teacher. Control questions, research tasks and 5 laboratory works are provided for verification of material assimilation.

As reported in the ANO "Knowledge Hub MyOffice," the manual explains in detail how to use modern Russian software to work with text and numerical information, develops the skills of independently preparing digital educational projects and presenting their school works.

The first in the Russian Federation manual on domestic office software for primary school - "ABC MyOffice"

The book describes the types of information, how it is processed and existing file formats, shows the significance of the design and the fonts used, explains the approaches to implementing the project. To study the topic, it is enough for the teacher to print the material of the lesson and give introductory information: students will be able to perform the rest on their own using a pencil, eraser and ruler. Also, when using computers, you can practice the knowledge gained in working with electronic documents.

The content of the educational material is convincing, scientific, colorful and cognitive, is presented in language accessible for this age. The author of the textbook was Anastasia Gorelova, the head of the educational programs "Knowledge Hub MyOffice," a specialist with twenty years of experience in the field of education in developing training programs for both teachers and students.[1][2]
