2021: Agreement in the field of development of the digital economy

On June 30, 2021, Tele2 announced that together with the Department of Information Technologies and Digital Development of Ugra, they signed an agreement on cooperation in the development of the digital economy of the Autonomous Okrug. Among the main tasks is the development of telecommunications infrastructure in the region using modern mobile communication standards. Tele2's planned investment in 2021 will amount to 520 million rubles.

The agreement on cooperation in the field of digital economy was signed by the director of the Tele2 branch of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug Mark Malakhov and the director of the department of information technologies and digital development Pavel Tsiporin. The parties are aimed at the active development of telecommunications infrastructure in the region and the implementation of the Digital Economy of Russia program. The focus of the operator is: improving and expanding the coverage area of ​ ​ the cellular network in 4G and 2G standards, increasing the availability of communication services, forming proposals for the deployment of technologies in the autonomous district for servicing IoT devices and projects based on big data analytics.

By the end of 2021, Tele2 will modernize the existing network facilities and launch base stations in Nefteyugansk, Nizhnevartovsky, Surgut municipal districts and in the cities: Langepas, Megion, Nefteyugansk, Pokachi, Pyt-Yakha, Surgut.
