History

2024: Arrest of ex-CEO Igor Yesin on charges of fraud and legalization of stolen money

In October 2024, Igor Esin, former general director and shareholder of the Research and Design Institute of Urea and Organic Synthesis Products JSC (NIIK, Dzerzhinsk city), was arrested. He is accused of committing crimes under Art. 159 and 174 (fraud on an especially large scale and laundering (legalization) of the stolen) of the Criminal Code. Read more here.

1952-2021

A branch of the State Institute of Nitrogen Industry (GIAP) appeared in Dzerzhinsk on October 31, 1952. This date is considered the foundation day of the institute.

In 1990, the institute acquired independence as a state-owned enterprise - GosNIIurea project.

In 1999, it was transformed into NIIK OJSC (Research and Design Institute of Urea and Organic Synthesis Products).

The Institute has design tools for all areas of design and scientific development. The company has more than 500 licenses for the office system, more 170 for the CAD system, more 80 for the technical calculation software, as well as 70 licenses for the Aveva E3d 3D design software product.

In addition to the central office in Dzerzhinsk, the company includes offices in Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod, a comprehensive department in Novomoskovsk (Tula region), a capital construction department with capital construction departments in Gubakh and Cherepovets.


JSC NIIK is a partner of Russian chemical companies - EuroChem JSC, URALCHEM JSC, Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat LLC, PhosAgro JSC, Akron PJSC and others.
