Kalmykia discussed the main trends in digitalization of business and the urban environment

The main topics of the conference "Digital Kalmykia: how information technologies help business and the state" were improving comfort in cities, digitalizing labor protection at enterprises, optimizing the education process and ensuring business information security.

The conference "Digital Kalmykia: how information technologies help business and the state" was held in Elista, in which representatives of the Government of the Republic of Kalmykia and local business took part. The event was opened by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the region Ochir Shurgucheev and Minister of Digital Development of Kazakhstan Alexei Eteev, who emphasized that soon each region will have its own digital transformation strategy.

After the welcoming speech, the conference's technology partners, companies Huawei and, STEP LOGIC presented solutions for the digitalization of urban spaces and industrial enterprises.


Oleg Ovsyankin, a leading expert on STEP LOGIC innovation solutions, told how VR to increase the efficiency of personnel training, infrastructure design and equipment operation at production, trade and mining enterprises. According to the speaker, the most active business uses technology virtual reality in designing and training employees, they account for 28% of all public VR cases over the past year. However, VR can be used for other purposes, for example, creating virtual tours of cities, Russia which will help promote new locations and attract tourists. After the report, a test version of the virtual tour of the historical part of Elista was presented in the demo zone.

Director of Digital Transformation of Huawei Enterprise in the Eurasian region Alexander Krinitsin presented solutions "smart campus" and "smart school" that increase comfort in cities, safety of public spaces, optimize the education process and provide comfortable and safe conditions for students and teachers, managing the school building and surrounding areas. At the conference, a digital classroom solution was presented, consisting of an interactive board and a tablet, thanks to which absent students can virtually attend the classroom, and the teacher can conduct a lesson from home without losing control over the audience.

Erdni Barinov, Minister of Education and Science of Kalmykia, agreed with him, who spoke about the project to implement a unified educational information system in the Republic, which will combine data on student performance and the work of teachers, and will also allow them to undergo online certification.

Another topic of discussion was the automation of information security (IS) processes. According to Pavel Kornilov, head of the monitoring and automation systems department of IB STEP LOGIC, in the modern world and, in particular, in the IB with huge flows of information, the issue of automating at least routine processes, ensuring the receipt and conversion of information in automatic mode is especially acute. He presented several options for using the SGRC system, which allows you to implement not only strategic management processes, but also most of the functional ones (for example, asset management, vulnerability management, documentation, incident response).
