2021: Launch sales on Wildberries according to the "marketplace" model
OR Group, which develops a network of Westfalika retail and service outlets and an ecosystem of services, continues to introduce new schemes for working with online retailers. In July, the company began working with the Russian online retailer Wildberries on a system for shipping goods from the seller's warehouses. This was announced on July 27, 2021 by representatives of Wildberries.
This interaction format implies the presentation of goods under the Westfalika brand on the Wildberries Internet site, while the goods are not shipped to the warehouses of the online retailer. Upon arrival, the order is processed in the personal account of the seller, packed and transferred for delivery to the sorting centers of the online site.
At Wildberries, the Group sells shoes, clothing, accessories under the Westfalika brand and other related products. In the first month of operation, the company will place more than 1000 SKUs on the platform, in the future it plans to increase the number of product items by 4-5 times. Wildberries presents photos of goods, a size grid, as well as online updates the remains of Westfalika stores in Novosibirsk. In the future, the company plans to connect outlets from other regions to the project.
"The development of cooperation with large marketplaces such as Wildberries allows the company to expand the sales geography, attract new buyers and increase sales. In the first months of working with the platform, we expect an increase in the number of orders by 15%. At the same time, the introduction of new interaction schemes gives us the opportunity to reduce costs, since with the online showcase model, the commission is lower for us as a supplier, "said Alexei Chaplygin, head of the online sales department of OR Group. |
As noted in Wildberries, the marketplace sales model is increasingly popular on the online site among domestic fashion retailers.
"By moving to a new delivery model, fashion sellers can reduce the size of the trade commission by up to 3 times, as well as reduce the associated operating costs associated with handling goods in warehouses. In addition, companies will be able to significantly expand their assortment on the online site due to the "trading shelf" not limited by storage space, thanks to which their turnover will show further growth, "the Wildberries press service said. |
